In this week's T-Shirt Tuesday I'd like to highlight two spoof designs we added back in 2008, both on the same theme: migratory flyways. Both of these are inspired by pop culture and can be found in the Pop Culture Birding section of the shop.
In North America there are four main routes that migratory birds use, and these are known as flyways.
These pop culture spoof birding t-shirts would be fun to wear during a birding excursion during the migration season, wouldn't they?
First we have Rockin' Down the Flyway, which is inspired by the rock n' roll lyric Rockin' Down the Highway. This is done in a rock-style font and colors.
Next we have Lost Flyway, which is inspired by David Lynch's Lost Highway. This design is made in the style of the film's poster.
This week's highlighted t-shirt is called Marquee Birder. The word BIRDER is spelled out using alternating aligned squares in shades of blue, purple, lilac and salmon. This colorful design is shown here on women's classic t-shirt. The bold design looks great against a black background and with several other color apparel styles.
