Today Only: Lightning Deal on *MY* Binoculars!

Posted on December 3rd, 2014 in Deals & Sales, Optics

Today at 7:50PM EST Amazon has a Lightning Deal on these highly-rated MINOX BV II 62029 10×42 BR Binoculars. The sale price will be revealed when the deal starts at 7:50PM EST. Amazon regularly sells these at 15% off list price but Lightning Deals can offer 50% or even 75% off list prices for a limited time.

An earlier version of this very model was my personal daily binoculars for several years and they took a beating! I’d toss them in my bike’s basket several times a week where they’d bounce around with my camera, keys, and other basket stuff. I’d carry them in a tote with other equipment. And I used them in all kinds of weather conditions, from frozen winter days back in Illinois to oppressive hot and humid summer days down here in Florida.

I did have a couple of small problems with them after a few years of use. The eyepieces were somewhat mis-aligned and the rubber on one of the eyepieces was starting to crack. The body hinge was very loose. They were still very usable but after a friendly email exchange with Minox I ended up sending in my bins for cleaning and repairs. To my shock and utter delight I received a brand new replacement pair back in the mail within two weeks. That’s the kind of customer service you want in your binoculars. I highly recommend Minox and this particular model for avid birders. Be sure to check out the Amazon Lightning Deal later today on this great pair of binoculars!
