Awesome New Bird Tees @ Threadless

Posted on November 24th, 2012 in Pop Culture, Products

If you’re like me, you’re always on the lookout for cool and unique bird t-shirts. Threadless usually has a bunch of great bird designs in their collection, and right now they have a Black Friday sale going all weekend with shirts as low as $9.99 and hoodies from $29.99. I am going to pick up this new one, on sale for $9.99. Sweet:

You’re a Hoot from Threadless

This next one caught my eye, and I like the concept, but I’m not sure I’d wear it. I guess flamingos aren’t exactly my favorite bird. The design is clever, though. This one isn’t on sale right now; shirts are $19.50. It’s called Bird Brain:

Bird Brain from Threadless

Here is an all-over (front and back) print design based on a photograph, part of a design challenge called Threadless Loves Photography. The designer says the photo was taken in Paris; my guess is the birds are European Starlings. What do you think? I like it and I might pick up this one, too. Shirts are on sale for $9.99. You can also pick up this design on phone cases or wall art.

I from Threadless

Below is another great owl design. Owls are so popular right now and Threadless usually has a great collection of different owl designs with both realistic illustrations and clever cartoon-like art. I am thinking of picking up this one, too – it looks great on a hoodie and it’s on sale for $29.99.

Vanishing in the Night from Threadless

This last one cracks me up. It was created using clipart from CSA Images in another Threadless challenge. It’s called Oh My, How Delightful! and it’s wickedly funny, don’t you think? This one isn’t on sale right now, so t-shirts are priced at $19.50 for now.

The Black Friday weekend sale ends on Cyber Monday, November 26, at 11:50PM CT.

SALE: Latest Bird T-Shirts @ Threadless

Posted on August 30th, 2012 in Pop Culture, Products

Threadless has a super sale going on right now with shirts as low as $9.95. There are always some awesome bird t-shirts in the mix. Here are a few that I haven’t highlighted before.

Tweet is on sale for $9.99. Twitter has naturally always been associated with birds; this cute design has two tweetin’ birds hanging out on a branch together.

Raven ($9.99 on sale) is my favorite of this bunch. Got Ravens on my mind lately… you’ll see why soon. 😉

Those Damn Birds is available on sale shirts ($9.99) and iPhone cases (from $37.50). I like this clever Alfred Hitchcock “The Birds” tribute gag design.

Them Birds ($9.99 on sale) is an awesome Alfred Hitchcock / Angry Birds mashup.

Flamenco (from $9.95 on sale; also iPhone cases) is a lovely artistic watercolor-style design. The super-pink flamingos look great on the lighter pink background.

A few of the Threadless bird shirts I mentioned in previous posts [Favorite Owl T-Shirts and Bird Tees @ Threadless] are available in this sale, too.

Owl Nebula: $12.95 Girly Boat Neck Tee only
Bird Nests: $9.95 Guys Organic Jersey Tee only
Owls Ask Too Many Questions: $9.95 Guys Tee
Field Study 01: from $9.99; several styles
The Incredible Hawk: Threadless Zip Hoody @$24.95
Song Bird: $9.95 Girly styles
The Northern Black-capped Gumchewer: $9.99; Guys & Girly styles
Bird Brain: $9.95 Girly Open Neck Tee only

The sale ends on August 31st at 10AM Central, but since quantities are limited these styles might sell out before the sale is over. If you see something you like, better not wait!

Bird Tees @ Threadless

Posted on January 23rd, 2012 in Pop Culture, Products

Threadless has another great clearance sale going on right now with shirts as low as $9. As usual there are some cool bird ones among the dozens of sale tees. Here are some of my favorites.

Bird Brain ($9 on sale) is a detailed anatomical drawing hummingbird mashup. To see the design details, click through to the original submission, where the artist wrote this shirt makes a fantastic way to impress that pre-med / ornithology co-ed you’ve had your eye on all semester.

The Northern Black-capped Gumchewer is on sale for $9. I think this funny design of birds chewing bubble gum is my favorite shirt of this bunch. May have to buy this one before the sale ends!

Song Bird is also on sale for $9. The bird kind of looks like a Limpkin with short legs (and something wrong with its head). Click through to the original submission to read the artist’s cute description of this whimsical design. In part: Native lore credits the long necked bird with the origin of music.

The Incredible Hawk is available on sale shirts ($9) and hoodies ($24.50). The hoody has a neat shield design on the front pocket area with the full “angry bird” design on the back.

Field Study 01 ($9 on sale) is a really beautiful design with a couple of very unfortunate spelling errors. The silhouettes are accompanied by a key, and two of the bird names are misspelled. Bummer.

The Messenger is on sale for $9. Like many other Threadless designs, this one is available on other products like iPhone cases, prints, and laptop skins, too, at society6.

Owls Ask Too Many Questions ($9 on sale) is really popular, though its not my favorite. The girly style is nearly sold out (just one left as of this writing).

Bird Nests ($19 on sale) was part of a imaginary sports league challenge. The back of this shirt has a circular logo for the Fighting Bird’s Nests along with the slogan “Go Nesty Go!”

A few of the awesome owl shirts I mentioned in a previous post are still available in very limited quantities. Check them out: Owl Nebula | Mechanic-owl King | Night Grooves | Owltical Illusion.

The sale ends on January 25th at 10AM Central, but since quantities are limited these styles might sell out before the sale is over. If you see something you like, better not wait!

Favorite Owl T-Shirts

Posted on November 23rd, 2011 in Pop Culture, Products

One of my favorite t-shirts is this Barred Owl design from Threadless. It’s called Owl Nebula and I just got an email newsletter telling me it will be on sale for just $10 tomorrow, November 24th.

Threadless shirts are designed by members; anyone registered with the site can vote on t-shirt concepts. After the voting process, some designs are printed by Threadless. New tees come out each week and there are often some great bird shirts in the mix. I have a lot of favorites but many of them are sold out right now. Here are a few that are available now (I’m not sure if they will also be on sale tomorrow).

Mechanic-owl King

Night Grooves (just a couple of guys tanks available at $10 right now)

Owltical Illusion (this one’s new to me, might have to get it!)

Besides Threadless I have some awesome owl shirts from Birdorable in my closet, too. Owls are Cool is my absolute favorite. There are currently nine owl species on Birdorable so check them out to see if your favorite species is there. With the code ZBLACKFRIDAY you can save $5 off the t-shirts shown below on Friday, November 25th; shipping is free on orders over $50.
