Bird Tile Murals (1): Common Crane
The Tile Mural Shop has a great, unique collection of artwork made out of tiles. The bird tile murals are especially beautiful and are a great way for bird-lovers to decorate their office, kitchen, workshop or other room.
The bird murals are made up of 12 to 24 ceramic tiles. The tiles measure 4.25″ so the murals are big enough to fill a large space. There are ten different bird murals to choose from. In a series of blog posts I will share some of my favorites with you. This is the first post.

One of my favorite murals is this image of a Common Crane. We were lucky to see these beautiful large birds a few times when we lived in Europe. They were a relatively rare sighting in the Netherlands and often when they were spotted, the exact whereabouts was under embargo on the local alert pages to protect the breeding birds. We only saw them once in Holland, from the train no less! We saw a few of them during one of our birding excursions in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
I love the big fluffy tail plumes on Common Cranes. The tail plumes are shown beautifully in this tile mural. The mural is made of 12 tiles and measures 12.75″ x 17″.
